After the long hiatus

It has been months since I have last been on this blog, graduated last may and have been making some art work but never completing any of it. Soon after I put all my work on hiatus, it became a distant memory, making art work that i would always think about it but not put much effort to create anything new.

I have been working on some woodcuts on MDF wood that has been taking longer than I would have hoped, but working into the wood composite it brings back the calm that i miss in making something with my hands. A few days ago I had a dream of making a mess of new works all in a printmaking fashion to over come my restrictions that have I have with painting. For the moment all my new work will consist of prints until I find adequate space to have a studio again.

Throughout all this time, I have given some thought to what am I searching for, and what makes me happy. I concluded that my paintings of shanty towns and slums are concept that I felt comfortable in. An idea that can be further explored, through new works. My new works will go back to this idea which is tentatively called "Home Aesthetics" with the prints of house called "The Dream House Series".
