round' midnight

"SAIL FOR THE HOMELESS BENEFIT"
-the task of this project was to give local artist, a sail, and that could do anything they want with it. i choose to reproduce a building from a previous painting "by the water" . this is the final result, a close up of the painting.

"burning (salvation)" 9 x 12 inches

"as the mess piles up" 9 x 12 inches

"home re(constructed)" 9 x 12 inches

"plays well with other" 11 x 14 inches

ive decided to just post picture of the finish work but with the insane work hours i have started working with i wont be long between post as i simultaneously work on several paintings at the same time. many of these were finished during a midnight painting frenzy. til next time.

cap'n the garbage is over flowing

its been about 3 weeks since ive been to my studio, the place was a disaster i had to throw away all the garbage that had been accumulating since the beginning of the semester of papers. The week marks the beginning of my new works, i am aiming for 20 pieces , ive been thinking back and forth about the size, i think it will range from 9 x12 to 16 x 20 inches. the amount of reference i have for this project and how i want it to develop is over 50 pictures mainly dealing with the idea of the garbage around us but the images i use for this wont all be directly tied to garbage many come from different sources and thats what i am looking for that its not all tied together by the pictures i used but by the paintings i make.

After this semester i will be done with my BFA and begin working on my own paintings without any reason aside from my own to make more art. It is going to be a hectic semester but it will be my most productive one. i am very confident about the work that has yet to be made. til another day.
